It's been a long week, took it to the tuner last Wednesday and they did a little update.
It got a little warm on the way home, then wouldn't start all weekend, swapped the TFI module today and it fired right up.
I added a big trans cooler while it wasn't starting over the weekend since the one I had wasn't cutting it.
Inspection was due in January, I hope to do that tomorrow.

Febrezed all the fabric, cleaned all the interior glass, and vacuumed it.

Then took it and filled it.

Picked up new Motorcraft front end links and sway bar bushings for the Green Machine. Unfortunately one of the rubber boots was torn, so might as well deal with it now while the temperature is nice out. They were still the originals and at 144K miles, I can't complain. It would be nice if this set lasts that long.

Drove the 97 around for a few hours while finding random garage sales. Left it running at each one since I'd only be there for <5 minutes, came back after about the 10th stop to an overwhelming stench of R-134.
:vomit:
Put about 60 miles on it too.
System still cools, must be an EVAP core leak.

Oh, I also spliced a length of 20 ga wire into the temperature signal wiring in an attempt to get it more accurate.

If I can't get it a lot closer than it has been, I'm putting the Crown Vic compass back in.

Drove it to Toronto today. Saw the Diamondbacks for the first time. Down to eight teams I haven't seen.

But goddammit are we bad. :sold2vs:

Took it through the wash and got all the dead bugs off it - more or less.

Headed out to a car show this morning and this happened along the way.
Image
Of course I didn't think about it until it was too late, but I should have been going 50 at the time.
The show was about 1 hour away and it was a beautiful afternoon with a slight breeze. Snapped a quick pic before I left.

Just for the fun of it, I reset the gas mileage computer and managed to pull 24.5 MPG on the way there and a cumulative of 23.3 MPG for the round trip of just under 100 miles. As has been the norm lately, I didn't win a thing with the car. It kinda sucks when the class is for anything 2000 MY to present and 1st, 2nd and 3rd go to 2016, 2018 and 2019 MY vehicles. That reminded me of why I don't go to many shows anymore. Of course I had 3 different people who thought it was a Marauder :monocle:
Did manage to win some Chinese Auction items for the Grand kids, so that beats a $10 trophy in my book.
